This one is really special (Tango #12), google “Barbie Basics Model No. 12 on Flickr” for pictures of what she really looks like – the picture here on Amazon is okay, but does not do her justice. She also has a great LBD – nice style. Her hair is dark blonde, she has green eyes, and tan skin. Her facial mold and painted features are very beautiful.
I studied each of the 12, and I like this one the best. Lara is also a standout – I know – they all are beautiful! Even the cashier where I bought this noticed and commented on how cool and different this doll is.
I thought she’d have bendable legs and arms – Duh! Not so. So, she basically has one pose.
I haven’t bought a Barbie doll for years and years, but I couldn’t resist this one. I’ve never liked Barbie that much, preferring Francie (60s-70s), Skipper, and Jazzie (80s-90s). But I like the toned-down figure and “real” features of these Barbie Basics models. Tango #12, highly recommended for collectors and doll lovers.
