I am rating this new “Let’s Dance! Barbie” a 4 only because I have not tried her out yet. She is a Christmas gift for my girls. From the packaging however she is a very beautiful doll and bigger than I expected – topping out at 15″ tall. I think normal barbies are around 12″. Because she is 3″ taller she is also that much bigger overall compared to a regular barbie. I am glad to see that she is a little larger considering the price.
[...]I have yet to see this doll in stores, but I’m sure she will be popular once the movie is released in 2 weeks. If she actually does all the dancing that she is supposed to do, I think she will be a great purchase, otherwise it will be an expensive oversized barbie.

We purchased this doll for our daughter’s 4th birthday….well her birthday isn’t until November, but once I saw this doll I knew it was a must have! It’s much larger than regular Barbie’s and is beautiful!!! I can’t wait to get it out of the box and see how it works…..don’t know if I can wait until November for this one

My four-and-a-half-year-old daughter had to have this toy and so with money she had gotten for christmas, we ordered it. So not worth it. She finds the bracelets needed to strap on uncomfortable and itchy, the movements are akward and don’t really follow your child and she has lost all interest in this. It has become another dust collector. She is an avid Barbie doll worshiper who spends hours each day playing and pretending with her other Barbies – but his one is not as much fun as she thought it would be and I agree with her. I would recomend the other Genevieve barbie that twirls when you push her leg … this one she plays with a lot.

I had read the reviews but decided to take my chances since my daughter really had her heart set on it for Christmas. It is SO incredibly loud! The doll doesn’t follow my daughters movements…just like the other reviews said it wouldn’t…I had told her this when she started playing with her and when she came to tell me, neither of us were surprised. We were both disappointed but it is a beautiful doll. Unfortunately, now the doll sits in the playroom looking pretty instead of being played with…an expensive lesson on my part.

Kind of a one trick pony like most other interactive dolls, and a bit of a pain to work with at times, but my daughter still enjoyed it. She hasn’t used it as much this past week. Overall it was worth the black Friday $25 sale price we paid, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend paying more than about $35 for it otherwise.
